Afternoon Cream Tea
We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary by having an afternoon cream tea at Downham Hall. We were warmly greeted by Christina. The service was attentive but not intrusive the food was well presented and of high quality. The decor was pleasing and there was a relaxing atmosphere. Great food and service in a wonderful location

Delightful Afternoon Tea
We had a lovely afternoon tea, along with children's menu for my disabled grandson. The food was delightful. The staff were all lovely making us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. A local gem that is a must visit
Offering a beautiful setting inside and out, this really is a local gem. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner, the food is the best I have experienced locally, a warm welcome and great service. It is well worth a visit and competitive with other gourmet type restaurants and pubs in the area but with a far more special feel. We enjoyed a drink in the spectacular garden, which we also visit regularly in the summer months to enjoy a drink or coffee on the terrace. Lunch and breakfast are great here too. We enjoy cycling to the hall for an end of ride treat. Plenty of parking for bikes and cars. They will even take you home midweek after your meal! So lucky to have this fantastic restaurant. Scrumptious

Gorgeous family lunch

Great dinner decent wines at affordable price - back soon for Sunday lunch
Great dinner here such great food and very reasonable prices. Plan to come back again for a third visit. The people at the next table told us to come for breakfast at the weekend and take a walk afterwards. Best Sunday Lunch
We booked in for one night stay and booked Sunday lunch for later in the afternoon. The experience was excellent from beginning to end. The roast dinner was exceptional. We always rate our roasts on the meat and roast potatoes. They did not disappoint. In fact the roast potatoes where the best we have had. There was plenty of meat and the beef was cooked to perfection. The veg was plentiful - we did not have to ask for more. They also brought out plenty of gravy. The staff were very attentive and friendly. A very warm atmosphere, beautiful decor and views across the countryside. The breakfast was also delicious with plenty of choice. The sausages were great quality and all presented beautifully. Plenty of coffee and toast. I loved how the staff interacted and made us feel relaxed. A very warm atmosphere. 60th Birthday Celebratory Lunch.
I had my 60th Birthday celebratory Lunch on Easter Sunday at Downham Hall with my family, a party of 13 of us. I cannot recommend the restaurant enough. The decor, service, staff & food were excellent. I enjoyed creating memories. You & your staff made my day special by enabling me to celebrate In this beautiful venue & surroundings. Thank-you! BEST FOOD EXPERIENCE
Attention to detail. An amazing afternoon today, and the food was wonderful, the service superb! Best lunch date in a long time.. quantity, quality and tastes! They are to be congratulated!
